Play Therapy Services

Play Therapy harnesses the therapeutic power of play, a natural form of communication and expression, to navigate challenges, promote emotional well-being, and foster positive change. In this therapeutic process, toys become tools and play becomes the language through which feelings, thoughts, and struggles are explored in a safe and supportive environment. Whether facing behavioral issues, emotional difficulties, trauma, or simply seeking personal development, play therapy approaches offer a space where children and families can thrive, heal, and flourish through the transformative act of play.

Prescriptive Play Therapy

We recognize that every child is a unique individual who presents with different strengths, gifts, and needs. As such, we believe that the best therapeutic approach is an individualized one. Prescriptive Play Therapy allows clinicians to draw from a variety of play therapy modalities to inform treatment that's tailored to the individual needs of the child and family. With backgrounds in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Filial Therapy, Attached-Based Play Therapy, Digital Play Therapy and others, our therapists have a wealth of knowledge and experience to provide the most effective support for the children and families we serve in the playroom.

AutPlay
Play Therapy

AutPlay® Therapy, created by Dr. Robert Jason Grant, places the principles and practices of play therapy within a neurodiversity-affirming framework. Rooted in the paradigm of neurodiversity, the AutPlay approach empowers child and play therapists to attend to the mental health needs of neurodivergent children aged 3 to 18. With its transformative insights, this framework is a testament to both the potential of play therapy and the compassionate understanding of neurodivergent experiences.

Family Play Therapy

Our years of clinical experience have solidified what Play Therapists intuitively have always known: you can't help kids without helping their parents/caregivers. Family Play Therapy approaches provide coaching and modeling of strategies to increase parent attunement, strengthen attachment, and heal familial wounds. Our therapists are trained in CPRT & Filial Therapy approaches in support child and family goals.
